AGM TODAY

It's expected in the press that Malcolm Glazer will try to cause mayhem at the AGM today. It's thought he may use his voting power to disrupt the
sanctioning of the financial results. Extra security staff has been drafted in while Shareholder's United are expected to present a letter from Sepp Blatter
supporting their efforts. This from The Telegraph.

The American investor has not yet used his votes to approve the year's accounts or vote on the re-election of three board members and could nominate a proxy to do so at the meeting at Old Trafford. There is no chance of the 76-year-old appearing in person at a meeting which will be heavily lobbied by fans' groups.

The United board, including chairman Sir Roy Gardner, often come in for
criticism from United fans at the meeting, although there is likely to be a more
shared sense of purpose this year, after the board rejected Glazer's takeover
proposal last month.

Although there has been no indication from the Glazer family that they will attend, there is likely to be some speculation at the meeting about whether
representatives of the Florida-based investors are present in the audience. After last year's meeting there were allegations that questions were planted in an
attempt by Ferguson's enemies to embarrass him.

Shareholders United, a group who represent the interests of fans with holdings,
will abstain on the re-election of non-executive director Maurice Watkins, who
has served on the board since 1984. Shareholders United are unhappy that the
Manchester lawyer has sold part of his substantial stake to Glazer.
The supporters' group are also unhappy that Glazer's American bankers, J P
Morgan, have merged with United's financial advisers, Cazenove.
