Manchester online reports that the agent of John Obi Mikel has been fined at Oslo airport for carrying an illegal amount of cash. The aptly named John Shittu was reportedly carrying £19,000 in cash. Nine times the legal amount. In surely the strangest punishment for this crime Shittu was given a fine of £1,100 and had expensive items such as his watch confiscated. Obviously he paid the fine on the spot and was free to leave. His explanation for carrying that amount of cash was that it was connected to his job. Quite why an agent needs that much cash is a mystery.
