Teenage American striker Freddy Adu is to train for two weeks with English Premier League leaders Manchester United, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old, once billed as the saviour of the U.S. game, has been given permission by his club D.C. United and Major League Soccer to link up with United on Nov. 18.
"I still don't know the details but, if it happens, it will be exciting," Adu was quoted as saying by the Washington Post.
D.C. United technical director Dave Kasper added: "This is something Freddy has wanted to do and we completely support him. It will be a good experience for him."
