From Ananova:
He was ambushed in his car after a disappointing draw against Palermo.
Baldini was slightly injured but his car badly damaged.
According to police, a group of fans, angered by the continuing unimpressive performances of Napoli, ambushed Baldini as he was driving home.
They smashed the car's glass with iron bars. The player was bruised and suffered a cut to his eye.
In an interview with TV network RAI, Baldini said he is ready to rejoin the team next week.
Meanwhile Sergio Campana, president of the players association, is to discuss possible protest measures, including the delayed kick-off of the next Serie A and Serie B matches.
Campana said he planned to raise the issue at the next meeting of the Italian soccer Federation "because violence has reached unbearable levels in soccer".
The attack on Baldini came two weeks after a fan attacked and knocked out a rival goalkeeper on the field during a Serie B match in Cagliari between the home team and Messina.
