"I'd take a goal from anywhere," said the United boss. "Of course, it's great when your strikers are scoring, but we do need goals from other areas as well.
"I've set a target of 88 goals this season, which isn't unrealistic if you remember that Ruud gave us 30 goals less last season than usual.
"For someone so young, Rooney has got a good goals-to-games ratio, and I expect Ronaldo to score a lot more this season. The goals are definitely there for us.”
