After the opening fixture of the season last weekend, which FC United won 5-2 away to Leek CSOB, in front of a league record crowd, anticipation is high for the clubs first home game.
A spokesman for the club said:
“We had more than 2500 in attendance at last week’s away game, which was staggering. We are anticipating groups of friends, whole families, young and old, disillusioned and priced-out supporters to attend in numbers. At £2 for kids and £7 for adults they will certainly be able to afford to do so.”
Manager Karl Marginson said:
“The coaching staff and players can’t wait for Saturday. After a pre-season and first league game on the road, we will finally be coming home. It’s probably too early to talk of a top-of-the-table clash, but as Padiham won 4-0 last weekend, it promises to be a stern test of our team. One that we are looking forward to.
